A Year of Connection and Creativity: Ms. Sarah Gray Reflects on Her First Year at TES

As the 2024–2025 school year comes to a close, it’s the perfect time to celebrate the incredible educators who’ve made an impact at Trinity Episcopal School—and one of those is Ms. Sarah Gray, our talented Technology teacher for all grade levels. Though this has been her first year at Trinity, Ms. Gray quickly became a valued part of our community, bringing not only her two years of teaching experience but also a fresh enthusiasm for learning, connection, and creativity.

Reflecting on her first year, Ms. Gray shared that one of the highlights has been witnessing the powerful relationships formed through Chapel Buddies. “Watching the younger students connect with the older ones, and then seeing those older students step into a mentoring role—it’s such a beautiful example of how this school fosters leadership, empathy, and friendship,” she said. It’s moments like these that reminded her why she was drawn to TES in the first place: the sense of family and the emphasis on community.

Ms. Gray’s passion for teaching is rooted in her own experiences as a student. “I had teachers who could take subjects I found difficult or dull and completely transform them. They made learning feel like a discovery,” she recalled. Today, that same sense of transformation fuels her approach to teaching technology. Whether it’s introducing coding concepts or exploring digital design, her goal is to create an engaging, dynamic environment where students feel curious, confident, and capable.

When asked what being a Patriot means to her, Ms. Gray offered a thoughtful answer: “To me, being a Patriot means becoming a reflection of Trinity’s core values—community, family, and dedication. It’s about being part of something meaningful and carrying that spirit into the classroom and beyond.”

Outside the classroom, Ms. Gray is a creative and avid explorer of all things fun and imaginative. She enjoys board games, video games, bowling, music, and immersing herself in sci-fi and fantasy books. Her interests often help her connect with students on a personal level, making her classroom not just a place to learn but a place to share and grow.

As the year wraps up, it’s clear that Ms. Gray has already made a lasting impression on her students and colleagues alike. Her dedication to building relationships, her passion for learning, and her ability to bring joy and innovation into the classroom have truly made this first year at Trinity one to remember.

We’re grateful for all that Ms. Gray has brought to Trinity this year, and we look forward to the creativity and inspiration she’ll continue to share in the years ahead!
