Sally McCloud

4th Grade

At Trinity, we’re fortunate to have dedicated and compassionate educators who shape the minds and hearts of our students. Among them is Mrs. McCloud, a second-grade teacher with seven years of teaching experience, including the past year at Trinity. Her commitment to her students, paired with her love for learning, creates a classroom environment where magic happens—especially during those “ah-ha” moments when students grasp a new concept for the first time.

For Mrs. McCloud, these moments are the highlight of teaching. “Being able to guide students and witness the ‘ah-ha’ moment when they grasp a new concept truly makes the job magical,” she says. This sense of wonder and discovery is something she strives to cultivate every day, helping her students develop both academically and personally.

Mrs. McCloud’s journey to Trinity was a personal one—her two sons also attend the school, which she says made the decision to join the community feel even more special. She describes the school environment as warm and welcoming, a place where her family has truly found a home. “My children brought me to Trinity, and the school community is something I truly cherish,” she says. This close-knit atmosphere is a key reason why Mrs. McCloud feels so connected to the mission of the school.

As someone who believes that being a Patriot is more than just being a part of a school, Mrs. McCloud describes it as embodying kindness, encouragement, leadership, and support. “Being a Patriot means being kind, an encourager, a leader, and a supporter,” she shares. It’s a philosophy she brings to her classroom each day, instilling these values in her students and helping them grow not only as learners but also as people.

When she’s not teaching, Mrs. McCloud enjoys reading, practicing Pilates, hiking with her family, and watching college football. She values family time, and the outdoors offers her a chance to recharge and connect with her loved ones. Her personal interests blend with her professional life, as she frequently draws inspiration from her hobbies to create engaging classroom experiences for her students.

One of the traditions Mrs. McCloud loves most at Trinity is the second-grade Friendsgiving, a cherished annual event where students come together to celebrate and share in the spirit of gratitude. She also enjoys the Chapel Buddies program, which pairs younger students with older ones to foster relationships and build community across grades. For Mrs. McCloud, these moments capture the essence of what makes Trinity such a special place to teach and learn.

Mrs. McCloud is more than a teacher; she’s a guide, a mentor, and a beloved part of the Trinity family. Her dedication to her students, her passion for learning, and her deep connection to the school community make her an integral part of the second-grade experience. We are incredibly lucky to have her, and we look forward to many more magical moments in her classroom!
