Dear Trinity Families,
It is with great joy that I welcome you to our chapel community! As Chapel Coordinator, I have the privilege of helping guide our students on their spiritual journey, fostering a deeper relationship with God through meaningful worship, prayer, and reflection. Chapel is a time where we come together as a school family to celebrate God’s love, explore biblical teachings, and encourage one another in faith.
Our chapel services are designed to be engaging, interactive, and relevant to the lives of our students. Whether through music, scripture, or thought-provoking messages, we aim to create an environment where students feel encouraged to grow in their faith, share their hearts, and understand the importance of living out their beliefs in their daily lives.
It is my prayer that our chapel time will not only be a place for spiritual growth but also a source of encouragement and community for all. I am excited to walk alongside each of our students as they continue to grow in their faith and discover the incredible love and purpose that God has for them.
Blessings,
Aimee Finch
Chapel Coordinator
Gathered in Faith, Growing in Love
At Trinity Episcopal School, chapel is at the center of our community life. Students gather three times each week in Trinity Episcopal Church for worship, prayer, song, and fellowship. These services ground us in God’s love and invite us to share that love with others in our classrooms, homes, and community.
Chapel is where we grow and celebrate together. It is a rhythm of worship that shapes our school week, nurtures spiritual formation, and reminds us that we are part of something greater than ourselves.
Weekly Chapel Rhythm
Chapel is not a one-time event but a regular part of the Trinity experience. Each service has its own unique focus:
- Monday Chapel – Introduces the weekly theme, which is then carried into homeroom and classroom discussions through related reflections and shared activities.
- Wednesday Chapel – Our most formal service, rooted in Episcopal liturgy. Students wear their chapel uniforms, and readers are robed. Visitors and guests are warmly welcomed and invited to dress in a way that honors the sacredness of the worship experience.
- Friday Chapel – A service of praise and celebration. Together, we end the week with joy, gratitude, and music as we celebrate the goodness of God and of one another.
Why Chapel?
Episcopal school worship embodies the convictions that Christian life is lived out and practiced in community; through corporate prayer and thanksgiving. We are reconciled and renewed to “go in peace to love and serve the Lord.” Episcopal schools have been established … as diverse ministries of educational and human formation for people of all faiths and backgrounds. … We seek to welcome, affirm, and support the spiritual development of students of all faiths or no faith at all.

Episcopal Identity
Trinity is a school in the Episcopal tradition, meaning that worship is inclusive, liturgical, and centered on God’s love revealed in Jesus Christ. Chapel services are based on liturgies from the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer, which provides a structure of Scripture readings, prayers, and responses that connect us to a centuries-old faith tradition.
At the same time, Chapel is open and welcoming to all students and families, regardless of background. Our services are designed to be age-appropriate, meaningful, and engaging, while reflecting the values of love, grace, humility, and service.
Student Leadership in Chapel
Chapel is student-led. Students serve as readers, acolytes, and leaders of prayer. Classes present skits, lead songs, and take active roles in shaping worship. By leading their peers, students grow in confidence, deepen their connection to God, and practice humble servant leadership, one of Trinity’s core values.

Chapel Buddies Program
One of Trinity’s most cherished traditions is our Chapel Buddies program. Older students are paired with younger students to mentor them, model chapel behavior, and form meaningful relationships that extend beyond worship.
Chapel Buddies sit together in services, read together, and play together. They also join forces for our school-wide service learning project, the Hunger Initiative, serving others as partners in faith and community. This program is truly at the core of who we are, helping students learn that growth happens best when we walk together.
Chapel as a Sacred Space
The chapel at Trinity Episcopal Church is more than a building. It is a sacred space for both church and school. Here, we worship, learn, and celebrate milestones together. It is a place where students are reminded of God’s presence in their lives and where the Trinity family gathers for both spiritual and community events.
Special events held in chapel include:
Blessing of the Backpacks
First Responders Parade
Blessing of the Animals
Lessons and Carols
K3/K4 Nativity Program
1st & 5th Grade Christmas Tree Exchange
Ash Wednesday Service
Holy Week and Passion Play
Honor Roll Recognition
Head of School Student of the Month Awards
Sports and Academic Achievement Celebrations
Monthly Birthdays
Senior Walk
Kindergarten “Jumping Up” Ceremony
8th Grade Graduation
Through these experiences, chapel becomes a place where the Trinity family not only worships but also celebrates learning, service, and community milestones together.
Chapel and Sacred Studies
Chapel worship is closely connected to what students are learning in their Sacred Studies classes. Weekly chapel themes are reinforced in the classroom through Scripture study, reflection, and age-appropriate discussions. In Sacred Studies, students explore the stories of our faith, the teachings of Jesus, and the Episcopal tradition of prayer and service.
This connection between chapel and classroom helps students see that faith is not separate from daily life but woven into who we are as a community. Together, chapel and Sacred Studies nurture hearts and minds, encouraging students to grow in wisdom, compassion, and joy.
