Educating the Whole Child

In addition to a strong core curriculum, students at Trinity Episcopal School enjoy a variety of enriching special classes that support their growth beyond the traditional classroom. These classes are all taught by dedicated and accomplished specialists. Through these engaging programs, students develop creativity, physical wellness, and essential skills to build them up into the leader they can become. These experiences not only enhance learning but also help students discover new interests and talents as part of the well-rounded education that Trinity offers.

Spanish Program

At Trinity Episcopal School, our Spanish program is designed to open students’ minds and hearts to the richness of the Spanish language and the diverse cultures that speak it. Beginning in K3 and continuing through middle school, students engage in age-appropriate instruction that builds vocabulary, develops conversational skills, and fosters cultural appreciation.

Through music, movement, stories, games, and hands-on activities, younger students build a strong foundation in the basics of Spanish. As they advance, students deepen their understanding of grammar and syntax, gain confidence in speaking and writing, and explore the history, traditions, and geography of Spanish-speaking countries.

More than just learning a language, students at Trinity grow in global awareness, empathy, and communication—skills that prepare them to be thoughtful citizens in an interconnected world. Our Spanish program supports Trinity’s mission by encouraging curiosity, celebrating diversity, and nurturing a lifelong love of learning.

MakerSpace

At Trinity Episcopal School, our Makerspace is a place where students build, create, explore, and imagine! Designed especially for our curious and creative learners, the Makerspace gives students the chance to work with their hands, think outside the box, and bring their ideas to life.

In the Makerspace, students might be:

  • Building bridges out of popsicle sticks
  • Designing their own inventions
  • Exploring circuits and coding
  • Creating art with recycled materials
  • Working together to solve real-world challenges

It’s a space where learning is fun, active, and hands-on. Our students are encouraged to try new things, take risks, and learn from mistakes—because we believe every great idea starts with a little experimenting.

More than just a room full of tools and materials, the Trinity Makerspace is a place where kids build confidence, teamwork skills, and a love for learning that lasts a lifetime.

Physical Education

PE class at Trinity Episcopal School is all about movement, teamwork, and building healthy habits that last a lifetime. Students participate in a wide range of age-appropriate activities that help them develop physical strength, coordination, and sportsmanship—all while having fun.

From creative games and fitness challenges to foundational skill-building in various sports, PE classes focus on encouraging an active lifestyle and fostering a positive attitude toward physical activity. Students learn the importance of teamwork, perseverance, and fair play in a supportive environment.

Whether running, stretching, or learning the rules of a new sport, PE is a time for students to grow stronger, more confident, and more connected to one another through play and purposeful movement.

Technology Class

At Trinity, our computer class equips students with essential 21st-century skills in a fun, engaging, and age-appropriate environment. From the earliest grades, students build a strong foundation in digital literacy, keyboarding, and responsible technology use. As they grow, they explore coding, research skills, presentations, and creative projects that integrate technology with their classroom learning.

Our goal is to help students become confident, capable digital citizens who know how to think critically, solve problems, and use technology as a tool for learning and creativity. Whether they’re programming a robot, designing a slide deck, or navigating online resources, Trinity students are learning to lead in a digital world—one click at a time.

Godly Play & Sacred Studies

At Trinity, spiritual formation is woven into the fabric of each student’s journey. Through Godly Play and Sacred Studies, we create intentional spaces where students can wonder, reflect, and grow in their understanding of God’s love and their own faith.

In Godly Play (K3-3rd Grade), storytelling, quiet reflection, and hands-on materials invite children to explore Biblical stories and spiritual truths in a developmentally meaningful way. It encourages curiosity, creativity, and a deep sense of reverence.

As students progress, Sacred Studies (4th-8th Grade) offers opportunities to dive deeper into scripture, Christian values, and Episcopal traditions. Lessons are designed to help students explore big questions, engage in thoughtful discussion, and connect faith to their everyday lives.

Whether through quiet wonder or active exploration, Trinity’s sacred studies curriculum helps shape compassionate, spiritually grounded individuals with a strong sense of purpose and belonging.

Library

At Trinity, we believe in sparking a lifelong love of reading. Students in K3 through 5th grade attend Library as part of their weekly specials rotation. These visits are designed to immerse students in the joy of storytelling, encourage exploration, and help each child discover the kinds of books that inspire and delight them.

A central part of library time includes engaging story and chapter book read-alouds, which help build listening comprehension, introduce rich vocabulary, and foster shared moments of wonder and imagination. Whether they are captivated by a picture book or following the journey of a novel across several weeks, students learn to love literature in all its forms.

Because novel studies begin in the classroom starting at the end of 2nd grade, our Library program remains focused on igniting a passion for reading. It is a space where students can explore freely, connect with stories that speak to them, and nurture a genuine excitement for books that lasts well beyond the school day.
